How-To Guide

Everything You Need to Know

Step-by-step instructions for getting the most out of LAX Hub, from your first team to your first live stream.

Create a team

  1. Download LAX Hub and sign in.
  2. When asked what brings you here, choose "I'm a Coach" (or tap Create Team from the Teams tab).
  3. Enter your team name and choose the gender (boys/girls) and age group.
  4. Optionally add a team logo and team colors.
  5. Tap Create. Your team is ready — you'll land on the team page where you can add players and schedule games.

Join an existing team

There are two ways to join a team a coach has already created:

With a team code

  1. Ask your coach for the team's share code.
  2. On the welcome screen choose "I have an invitation", or open Find Team from the menu.
  3. Enter the share code and confirm to join.

By searching

  1. Choose "I'm a Player or Parent" or open Find Team.
  2. Search for your team by name and tap Request to Join.
  3. Your coach approves the request, and the team appears in your app.

Add players to your roster

  1. Open your team and go to the Roster tab.
  2. Tap Add Player (the + button).
  3. Enter the player's jersey number, name, position(s), and grade level.
  4. Optionally add a headshot photo.
  5. Tap Save. Repeat for each player — or email your full roster to admin@laxhubapp.com and we'll bulk-upload it for you.

Invite parents

  1. When adding or editing a player, enter the parent or guardian's email address in the parent/invite field.
  2. Tap Save — the parent receives an invitation to follow that player.
  3. The parent installs LAX Hub, signs in with that email, and accepts the invitation to start following live scores, stats, and streams.

You can also invite people from the team's Members screen (see below).

Assign roles (assistant coach, scorekeeper, livestreamer)

  1. Open your team and go to Manage Members (Members).
  2. Tap Invite, enter the person's email, and choose their role:
    • Head Coach / Assistant Coach — manage the roster, schedule, and team settings (and get premium features for the team).
    • Scorekeeper — record live game events.
    • Livestreamer — broadcast games from the app.
    • Parent / Viewer — follow scores, stats, and streams.
  3. Send the invite. To change someone's role later, tap their name in Members and pick a new role.

Only head coaches can manage members and change roles.

Score a game

  1. From the Home dashboard or your team's Schedule, open the game and tap Start Scoring.
  2. Choose Quick mode (fast tap-to-score) or Full mode (detailed stats).
  3. Tap an event button — for example Shot, then the outcome (Goal, Save, Miss), and select the player involved. The same works for faceoffs/draws, ground balls, penalties, and more.
  4. Made a mistake? Tap Undo to remove the last event.
  5. Multiple people can score the same game at once — everyone stays in sync.
  6. When the game is over, tap End Game to save the final stats.

Scoring works offline and syncs automatically when you're back on a signal.

Stream a game

  1. Open the game you want to broadcast and tap Go Live (Livestream).
  2. Allow camera and microphone access the first time you stream.
  3. Tap Start to go live. A live score overlay appears on the stream automatically.
  4. Tap Stop when the game ends. The broadcast is saved as a recording (VOD) that Plus members can watch back.

You only need a phone — no extra equipment required. (Streaming is available to coaches and members with the Livestreamer role.)

Watch a stream

  1. Open LAX Hub and find the game — in-progress games appear on your Home dashboard and on the team's schedule.
  2. Tap the game, then tap Watch Live.
  3. The live video plays with the current score overlaid. After the game, Plus members can replay the recording from the same screen.

View live stats & the game feed

  1. Open an in-progress game from Home or the schedule.
  2. Open the Game Feed to see the animated field, real-time play-by-play, and a live box score that updates with every play.
  3. For season totals, open your team and go to the Stats tab, or open a player in the Player Hub to see their stats across teams.

Live scores and the basic feed are free. Full team/player stats, shot charts, and game recordings are part of LAX Hub Plus — and coaches get them free for their own team.
